This is a super easy yet flavorful side dish that is sure to please the whole family. I used purple sprouts because that is what the store happened to have, but trust me this recipe is amazing with the standard green sprouts we all know so well.
Ingredients:
2 lbs. Purple Brussel Sprouts, cut in half (cut into fourths if large)
1 tsp. Olive Oil
1/2T Butter
1/4 C Onion, diced
4 oz. Thin Prosciutto, chopped
2 tsp. Garlic, minced
Salt and Pepper to taste
1/4 C White Wine
Directions:
-In large skillet over medium heat, and heat oil. Add prosciutto and onion, and cook 5 minutes, add in garlic and cook 1 minute more.
-Remove ingredients from pan and set aside, keep grease and oil in pan, add butter to pan. Toss in cut sprouts and season with salt and pepper. Cook 3 minutes, add in white wine and cook 6-7 minutes or until sprouts start to become tender.
-Add prosciutto/onion mixture and cook 2 minutes. Enjoy!
