Italian Meatball Pizza

Ingredients for 2 pizzas.



1 lb. Ground Italian Sausage (I used mild)

1/8 C Powdered Parmesan Cheese (the stuff in the green can)

1/8 C Italian Bread Crumbs

1 tsp. Sea Salt

1/2 T Dried Parsley

Pepper to taste


Pizza Dough for 2 Pies

1 1/3 C Marinara Sauce of Choice

1 T Butter

1 Large Shallot, finely diced

2 Cloves Garlic, minced (divided)

2 C Shredded Provolone

2 1/2 C Mozzarella Cheese, shredded

2/3 C Grated Parmesan

3/4 C Diced Fresh Spinach


-Combine all meatball ingredients in bowl.  Heat large skillet over medium high heat, for meatball mixture into small balls (about the size of a dime), cook in skillet until lightly brown (don’t over cook or they will dry out in oven), set aside.

-In small skillet over medium heat, melt butter, add in shallot sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Cook until golden brown, set aside.

-Prepare dough of choice per directions of dough.  Top each pizza with half of sauce, sprinkle with shallot, 1 clove garlic per pie, and half of spinach on each pie.

-Sprinkle with parmesan, then meat balls, and provolone and mozzarella.  Cook per dough directions.  Enjoy!
