Bacon Cheeseburger Stir Fry

I needed a new stir fry recipe, this is what won.  I will admit it has the idealism of classic stir fry, but its not a true recipe by any means.


6-8 Pieces Bacon, cooked crisp

1 lb. Ground Beef

1 Celery Stalk, diced

1 Carrots, diced

1 1/2 C Chopped Cabbage

2 Cloves Garlic, minced

1/3 C Red Onion, diced

2 tsp. Burger Seasoning

2 T Worcestershire Sauce

2 T Bacon Grease


1 C Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1 T Cornstarch

3/4 C Evaporated Milk

2 tsp. Franks Hot Sauce

2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce

1 tsp. Spicy Mustard

1/2 C BBQ Sauce of Choice


-In small bowl combine cheese and cornstarch.  In small pot, bring evaporated milk, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and franks to low boil.  Stir in cheese, allow to melt completely.  Stir in BBQ  sauce, set aside.

-Cook bacon until crisp, crumble.  Reserve 2 T grease.  Set aside.

-In large skillet or wok over medium high heat, cook meat, when meat is almost completely done, drain and grease.  Add in 2 T bacon grease and all of veggies, cook until veggies soften slightly.  Pour in sauce, cover, reduce temperature (want to simmer but not boil), cook 15 minutes.  Stir in bacon crumbles prior to serving.

-Serve over your favorite rice or pasta.  Enjoy!
