Italian Style Baked Beans



2 T Balsamic Vinaigrette

1 T Olive Oil

1 Large Shallot, chopped

2 Large Cloves Garlic, chopped

1 lb. Beef Top Sirloin, diced

2 Cans Great Northern Beans, drained and rinsed

1 Can Cannellini Beans, drained and rinsed

14.5 oz Can Stewed Tomatoes

14.5 oz Can Diced Tomatoes

2 Roma Tomatoes, diced

1/2 T Italian Seasoning

2 Sage Leaves, chopped

1 tsp. Dried Tarragon

1 tsp. Sugar

Salt and Red Pepper Flakes to taste

1/4 C Parmesan Cheese

6 Thin Slices Provolone Cheese

1/4 C Parmesan Cheese


-In large skillet heat vinaigrette and olive oil over medium heat.  Add in shallot, garlic and beef, cook until veggies are soft and beef is browned.

-Add in remaining ingredients, except cheese, simmer for 10 minutes.  Add in 1/4 C parmesan cheese.  Place mixture into  2 quart baking dish.

-Top with remaining parmesan cheese and provolone cheese, bake 400 degrees for 18 minutes.  Allow to sit for at least 5 minutes prior to serving.  Enjoy!
