Chicken and Brown Rice Soup

I needed a new soup recipe for our family.  My tiny humans love chicken and they love rice, so I figured I’d combine the two for this tasty and filling recipe.



2 lb. Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts (fat cut off)

2 Celery Stalks, diced

2 Carrots, sliced thin

1/2 Red Onion, diced

2 Cloves Garlic, minced

3/4 C Brown Rice

4 C Vegetable Broth

4 C Chicken Broth

1 T Worcestershire Sauce

2 Bay Leaves

1 tsp. Dried Sage

1 tsp. Dried Thyme

1 tsp. Paprika (optional-I like the color it adds)

1/2 tsp. Dried Tarragon

1/4 tsp. Dried Rosemary

Salt and Pepper to taste


-Place all ingredients in crockpot, cook low 4-5 hours or until rice is tender.

-Remove chicken and shred, also remove bay leaves.

-Add in chicken and serve.  Enjoy!
