Chocolate Chip Cookies



1 Stick Butter, softened

1/2 C Shortening

3/4 C Brown Sugar, packed

3/4 C Sugar

1 Egg

2 1/2 C AP Flour

1 tsp. Vanilla

1 tsp. Baking Soda

1/2 tsp. Sea Salt

12 oz. Bag Milk Chocolate Chips


-In large bowl or stand mixer combine butter, shortening, and both sugars.  Cream together.

-In separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.

-Add egg to butter mixture, add in vanilla.

-Slowly add in flour mixture, do this a little at a time.

-Once all other ingredients are combine, stir in chocolate chips.

-Place mixture in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes prior to baking.

-Spoon out heaping tablespoon of dough, drop onto ungreased baking pan.

-Bake 375 for 8-10 minutes or until slightly golden brown.

-Remove from oven and allow to cool 3 minutes prior to removing from pan.  Enjoy!
