Ground Beef and Lentil Stew



1 lb. Ground Beef

2 Carrots, diced

1 Celery Stalk, diced

1 Large Yellow Onion, diced

1 Clove Garlic, minced

28 oz. Can Whole Tomatoes, don’t drain

1/4 C BBQ Sauce

1/2 tsp. Dried Sage

1/2 tsp. Paprika

1/2 tsp. Dried Thyme

1/2 tsp. Dried Tarragon

Salt and Pepper to taste

5C Beef Broth

1 1/2 C Dry Lentils


-Cook ground beef until fully cooked. Reserve about 2-3 T grease from cooking.  Place all ingredients except lentils into crockpot.

-Cook low about 6 hours.  2 Hours prior to serving, using knife or scissors cut up tomatoes, and add in lentils.  When lentils are done, stew is done.
