How To Roast a Pumpkin

I have never bought store bought pumpkin, you know the stuff in the cans.  I have always roasted my own pumpkin to make it at home instead.

Ingredients:

1-2 Pie Pumpkins (the small one, usually marked Pie)

Directions:

-Cut pumpkin in half, scoop out seeds (can save for pumpkin seeds later).  Place cut side down in baking pan, pour water into bottom, just enough to cover bottom of pan. Cover with foil.

-Bake 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes, or until pumpkin is fork tender.  Remove from oven and allow to cool until you can handle it.  Can cut and use as you wish or place in food processor to create pumpkin puree. Enjoy!
