Copycat Red Robin Banzai Burger

This is my husband and mines favorite burger from Red Robin, so of course we moved to an area where there isn’t a restaurant location.  So with a lot of trial and even more error, I have finally created a recipe that is close enough to call it a copycat.  I hope that you all will enjoy this burger as much as my family did.



1 lb. Lean Ground Beef (I used 1.3 lbs.)

3/4 C Teriyaki Sauce ( I used our version )

1/2 tsp. Seasoning Salt

1/4 tsp. Fresh Ground Black Pepper

1/4-1/3 C Plain Bread Crumb (amount depends on how fatty the meat is)

4 Pineapple Rings

1/2 C Teriyaki Sauce





Hamburger Buns

Teriyaki Sauce for topping


-Mix 3/4 C Teriyaki Sauce, salt, pepper and hamburger meat together in bowl.  Allow to sit at least 2 hours to overnight.

-Marinate pineapple rings in 1/4 C Teriyaki Sauce, again best over night.

-Form marinated meat into patties.  Grill over medium high heat until desired doneness. Grill pineapple rings about 3-5 minutes, you just want to lightly sear the teriyaki sauce to the outside of the rings.

-Top each patty with 1/2T Teriyaki Sauce, pineapple rings, tomato, onion and lettuce.  Enjoy!

My husband swears that this burger, even at the restaurant isn’t as good without dipping it in Ranch dressing.
