Brandy Infused BBQ Sauce

I have my go to BBQ sauce, as in haven’t made a new recipe in almost 2 years.  But I decided to use up some of the left over Cognac from the Lobster Bisque.  I must admit my usual is now my least favorite after this recipe.

1 Can Tomato Paste

3/4 C Brandy

2/3 C Water

1/3 C Brown Sugar

1/4 C Sugar

3T Molasses

2T Onion Powder

2 Cloves Garlic, minced

1 tsp. Balsamic Vinegar

1 tsp. Red Wine Vinegar

1 tsp. Chili Powder

1 tsp. Paprika

1 1/2 tsp. Salt

Cayenne Pepper to taste

-Whisk all ingredients together in saucepot.  Over medium heat, bring to boil, boil for 20 minutes, stir often.

-Reduce temperature and low simmer for about 20 minutes, or until alcohol no longer smells strong and sauce thickens.

Enjoy!   Store in fridge for about 2 weeks.
