You don’t have to use venison, this recipe is also great with beef cube steak.
6-8 Cube Steaks (I family size pack)
1 C Coffee (optional), I like this to marinate the venison in
1 Can Cream Mushroom Soup https://junecleaver21stcenturystyle.wordpress.com/2015/08/13/campbells-cream-of-mushroom-soup-our-version/ (use GF version if desired)
2 Cloves Garlic, minced
1 Package Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix (use GF if you desire) https://junecleaver21stcenturystyle.wordpress.com/2015/06/18/onion-soup-mix-gluten-free/
1 1/2 C Beef Broth
Salt and Pepper to taste
-Place cube steak in bag with cool coffee, marinate meat for at least 1 hour. This will help pull the blood out, and ease the game taste. You can do this with regular beef cube steak, the option is yours.
-Drain coffee, place Lipton soup in bottom of crockpot, lay cube steak as evenly as possible over soup mix. Top with cream of mushroom soup, garlic then beef broth.
-Cook low for 6 hours, don’t stir, and if you have pan ready cube steak, it may fall apart as it cooks.
Great over noodles or rice. Enjoy!
