Brown Sugar Green Beans



1 lb. Green Beans, steamed*

4 Pieces Bacon, cut into 1 in. pieces

3 T Butter

1/2tsp. Garlic Powder

1/4 C Brown Sugar

Pepper to taste


*Place green beans in pot, add about 1 inch water, cover, bring to boil, lower temp, cook about 6 minutes.  Drain green beans.

-Place bacon pieces in saucepan, cook until almost crispy, remove bacon pieces using slotted spoon.

-Add butter to bacon grease and melt.  Stir in garlic powder, pepper and brown sugar.  Stir until butter dissolves.

-Add green beans and coat in butter glaze.  Serve immediately or glaze may thicken as it cools. Salt to taste each serving.
