Savory Waffles and Chicken



1 1/4 C AP Flour

1/4C Cornmeal

1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder

1tsp. Sugar

1/2tsp. Salt

1/4tsp. Black Pepper

2 Large Eggs, beaten

2T Cooking Oil (I used Coconut, but can use Canola or Vegetable)

1 tsp. Hot Sauce (I used Frank’s)

1 1/4C Buttermilk (no substitution)

3/4 C Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1 Scallion (white and green parts), finely chopped

4 Pieces of Bacon, cooked fully, crumbled

Chicken Tenders (of choice, fully cooked) 2-4 per serving Our Version Here:


-Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl, but cheese, scallion, bacon and chicken.  Mix until well combined, some chunks are fine just no larger than a small pea.  Stir in cheese, bacon, and scallion.  Cook per waffle maker directions.  Can place cooked waffles on baking pan in oven set to 200 degrees until all are done.

-Once waffles are done, top with cooked chicken tenders and maple syrup or our Sriracha Maple Syrup
