1/2 C Water
1 Can Tomato Paste (6oz)
1/2 C Balsamic Vinegar
1/4C Worchestershire Sauce
1/4 C Dijon Mustard ( I used 1 T Spicy Mustard and the rest Dijon)
1/2tsp. Black Pepper
3/4 tsp. Salt
1/2T Celery Seed
3-5 dashes Tobasco Sauce (optional)
1/4 C Golden Raisins
1/8 C Onion, diced
1 Large Clove Garlic, diced
1 Medium Orange
-In large sauce pan, combine all ingredients but orange. Whisk well until tomato paste is combined with all other spices. Cut orange in half, squeeze juice in to pot, add orange halves ( if using a smaller pot, can cut halves in to quarters). Over medium heat, bring mixture to boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour mixture through mesh strainer ( you don’t want any of the larger pieces in your finished sauce). Pour strained sauce in to cleaned out A1 bottle or other airtight container. Place in refrigerator.
**Please note that when the sauce is warm the orange taste may be a bit strong as it cools, this taste will disapate some.
