Homemade Arby’s Sauce

If you are anything like me, this sauce is my go to, on more than just Roast Beef sandwiches.  I have tried my hardest to duplicate this recipe, in may be a little off but it’s still yummy.

1C Ketchup (I recommend Hunts Brand, Heinz and even homemade just don’t taste the same)

1T Apple Cider Vinegar (I have used red wine vinegar)

1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder

1/4 tsp. Black Pepper (fresh ground is better)

1/4 tsp. Garlic Salt ( I don’t recommend any other type of salt)

1/4 tsp. Onion Powder

1 tsp. Water

1/2 tsp. Tabasco Pepper Sauce (don’t skip this ingredient)

1T Brown Sugar (Honey can be substituted)

  1. Combine all ingredients in small saucepan, cook over medium heat, stir often until sauce boils.  This may take 5-15 minutes, depending on stove and pan used.  Allow to boil about 5 minutes (you want a slow boil, not a hard one.)

2.  Remove pan from heat, cover and allow to cool.

  1. Once cooled store in airtight container in refrigerator.
