Shortbread Cookies



3/4 cup of butter(thats a stick and a half)*softened
2 Tablespoons of butter *softened
2 cups of all purpose flour *dont use self rising
1/4 cup of granulated sugar

-Mix butter and sugar together, once a paste is made, slowly add flour
-Batter will be slightly crumbly, but once you take it out of bowl and make a ball, all should be okay with it.
-On a lightly floured surface roll out dough, either cut cookies with knife, or use cookie cutters
-Place cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet, and bake approx 20 minutes
-Remove cookies from pan and place on wire rack to cool

-can dip ends in melted chocolate if you desire
